Paint Shop Pro 9 but should be able to be done in 8
Main Graphics or graphics of your choice
Gradient: Metal Steel
Filters: Filter Factory F – Quadrant Replicate
PhotoSwizzle - Prism
Flaming Pear - Flood

1. Open the images you want to use or use these. Shift D to Duplicate each of them then close your originals. Minimize these images for use in Step 4.

2. Set your materials - foreground black, background Metal Steel Gradient.

3. Set your magic wand to these settings

4. Go to Image – Arithmetic & use these settings or experiment & use your own until
you get the images the way you like them (that’s the fun of playing so go for it !)
Note that the two images included in these supplies will appear under Image #1 and
Image #2. I used them in the following order to get the effects for this tutorial

Now you have both images combined into one image This single image will now become the image you will be working with for the rest of this tutorial. There was one stray white pixel remaining so I used the paint brush tool set at size 1 and painted the stray pixel out with black.

5. Adjust – Brightness & Contrast – Clarify set at 2

6. Duplicate this single image (Shift D) & minimize one of them.

7. Image – Add Borders, 2 pixel symmetric, white. With your magic wand select the
white border until you have marching ants (you may need to zoom into your image to
get the white selected properly). Using your Flood Fill tool, fill with black.

8. Selections – Invert - Effects – 3D Effects – Cutout with the flowing settings:

9. Select None

10. Image – Add borders – 4 pixels – white. Select with magic wand flood fill with the
Metal Steel Gradient.

11. Selections Invert – 3D Effects – Cutout with the same settings as before but
CHANGE the Shadow color to white. Select None

12. Image – Add borders – 2 pixels white – Select with magic wand & flood fill with
black. Select None.

13. Image – Add borders – 20 pixels – white. Change your material pallet to pattern.
Edit & select the main graphic that you have minimized. Select with magic wand (marching ants again) Fill with this image. Do NOT Deselect.

14. Image – Effects – 3D – Outer Bevel

Do NOT deselect

15. Effects – Plugins – Filter Factory F – Quadrant Replicate – default settings. Do NOT deselect.

16. Effects – Plugins – PhotoSwizzle – Prism – Select None.

17. Repeat Steps 7 - 12

18. Go to your selection tool set at rectangle and select the interior of your main graphic and bring the selection to the top the same distance as you did the bottom. Do NOT deselect.

19. Adjust – Brightness & Contrast – Clarify set at 2. Do NOT deselect.

20. Effects – Illumination – Sunburst

21. Adjust – Brightness & Contrast – Brightness set at 0/Contrast set at 22

22. Select None

23. To add a bit more water effect – make the following selection

Image – Plugins – Flaming Pear – Flood – Play with these settings until you are satisfied with the results

Select None.

Resize your image – (bicubic- lock aspect ratio & all layers checked) to the size you need for your project.
